Privacy policy
The short version: the forecast works in your browser. We receive information only when you choose to send a survey answer, request an email, contact us, or buy a product. We do not sell personal data.
The forecast: the dates and name you enter are saved in your browser's local storage so the forecast is ready when you return. The calculator does not send that saved profile to Peanutbean. Other pages read it in your browser only, to show a shortcut to your baby's current week. Like other information in local storage, it can be read by code running on the page, so it should not be treated as secure storage. You can remove it with the "Forget these dates" button or by clearing your browser data.
Sharing a forecast: if you choose "Share this forecast", "Send to your partner or the grandparents" or "Send on WhatsApp", the birth date and due date are added to the link you send. They sit in the link's browser fragment, which browsers do not send to our server. Anyone who receives the link can see and use those dates. The baby's name is never included in the link. The message text that WhatsApp or your phone's share menu opens with does include the first name if you entered one; you can edit it before sending, and it goes through your app, not through Peanutbean. "Share this card" creates a picture on your device with the week number, a short outlook and one tip for the week. It never shows dates, and it shows the first name only while the name box under the card is ticked. Shared links carry a short tag, such as ref=family, that only says which button was used. "Print a page for the grandparents or sitter" builds the page in your browser, with the name if you entered one; nothing from it is sent to Peanutbean.
Phone notifications: if you turn them on from the forecast, your browser gives us a push address for this device and we store it with up to six upcoming notification dates, a few days before each development window. Those dates follow your baby's age, so we treat them as personal data. We do not store the baby's name or date of birth; the message is written on your phone from the details saved there. The record is deleted after the last date, when you choose "Turn off notifications", or when the push service reports the address is no longer valid.
Small helpers on your device: your recent searches, a visit count and whether you dismissed the "add to home screen" tip are saved in your browser's local storage. None of this is sent to Peanutbean, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Cookies and analytics: Peanutbean does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us aggregate traffic information without creating a profile of you. Cloudflare also processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.
Product-use events: when you complete a forecast, share it, arrive from a shared link, send an email signup request, open the printable catalog or follow a product link, we send a minimal event to a separate Cloudflare Analytics Engine dataset. It can include the general page or button location, which share button was used, an internal product ID and Gumroad or Etsy as the destination. It does not include the baby's name or dates, your email, the full page URL, a cookie or a user ID. A click is not treated as a purchase.
The optional fussiness survey: if you tap a score, we send the baby's current week, the development window and the score to Cloudflare Analytics Engine. The survey payload contains no name, date, email address or device identifier. Your browser saves the date of your last answer locally so it does not ask again for six days.
Reviews: if you send a review, we store your first name, the options you pick, the text and the date in Cloudflare. We do not ask for your email or store your IP address with it. Reviews are published only after a manual check; ones we do not publish are deleted. To have a published review removed, email hello@peanutbean.com.
Email reminders: if you submit the reminder form, MailerLite processes your email address and the baby's due date so the message can be timed. The form uses double opt-in. Your request must be accepted and you must use the confirmation link in your inbox before you are subscribed. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future messages, although MailerLite may keep a suppression record so you are not added again by mistake.
Purchases: Gumroad and Etsy process purchases under their own privacy terms. For a personalized product, you enter the baby's details on the checkout platform. Making the order requires a local working file and the finished PDF, both of which contain the details you supplied. Peanutbean uses them only to create, check and deliver the order and handle related support. We do not add them to a child profile or use them for marketing.
Your choices: you can ask what purchase or contact information we hold, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need it for the order or a legal record. Email hello@peanutbean.com.
